I do like a bit of variety in my work.
Lately I've been thinking about
- Data: Last summer I started working as a Senior Technical Writer at Talend, the open-source data integration specialists
2011 also saw me thinking about
- Journalism: I wrote a few technology articles
- Interfaces and apps: I worked on the interface text for an iPhone app
- Boats: I did a bit of work on the English-language communications materials for Les Tonnerres de Brest 2012, the Brest Maritime Festival
- Wine: I worked with wine producers in Bordeaux and Todovino in Spain
- Brittany: I helped Bretagne International, the Breton development agency, reach out to an international audience with a series of newsletters reporting success stories from Breton firms in the IT, Biotech, Health, Industrial and Agricultural sectors
- Social translation: I did some web writing (marketing and product interface) for a social translation start-up based in California
- Changes in the music business: General Bye Bye went off on a DIY tour of the United States, where they sang some of my lyrics in venues from Austin, Texas all the way to San Francisco, California, and I also continued to write for several up-and-coming artists
